Anti Virus

Is it absolutely necessary to use an AV on my PDA ?

Not really. As far as I know there are no PDA viruses - yet.

Nope. I know of only 1 virus which can be removed with a hard reset. So long as you backup, it shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't waste money or memory space with AV just yet.

I bought Airscanner a long time ago. I haven't had to use it once. But that doesn't mean i'll never have to. Incidentally spybot has a free one.

I installed Spybot. Even though it isn't anti-virus, we're probably more likely to encounter ad-ware before massive viruses. And even though it is probably useless at the moment, you can never be too safe. As far as space goes, just install it on an SD card.
