Web Browsers

Has anybody got any advice regarding web browsers?

I'm not that impressed with IE on my X51v, and have heard that using a different browser might speed things up. Any advice?

Or if you have a few quid to spend OPERA is pretty good.

I use Opera on my 700wx. I used it on my X50v as well. I like it. :approve:

That's why they both survive, because they both work and different folks like different things! I found that Opera and NetFront and IE did not co-exist well on my PDA. I could use them all, but could not alternate without an intervening soft reset. I can alternate between NF and IE easily.

I did the same but went for Netfront, becuase of the Opera Display bugs on the X50v (2003)..

I'd have prefered to buy from Opera though,... as they are a far nicer company to deal with

Before you spend money on a 3rd party browzer, give the free Skweezer a try.

http://www.skweezer.net/

It handles almost all of my daily browsing needs. Some sites it cannot parse.

Minimo compressed with UPX4PPC is a nice, free experience.

Minimo = Netscape 7 for PocketPC (aka: slow, clunky, bit bloated). :D

When they get it WORKING, then you can call it FireFox (aka: faster, efficient, has support for addons).

Speaking of services like this, you may want to prefer MobileLeap, which is technically much superior to Skweezer. Please read my articles on these subjects (search the forum / my blog for these two services under my nick).

Thanks for the info on MobileLeap. I've established an account and will give it a try. For now it appears to be lacking some nice features such as Skweezer's 'Favorites', which I use constantly.
