Worried Image viewer - suggestions?

I checked out the forums quite a bit, but I didn't find what I was looking for exactly. My girlfriend has that new Palm with the camera built in - Z1 or something like that. Its a cool little device I think, with the camera feature being really slick.

I was looking for a picture viewer that works along those same lines, if you have seen it. Really clean interface with just thumbnails you scroll through, tap it to view the full size, tap it again to go back to the thumbnails. I think there are a few options, like slide show and rotate but for the most part the interface is sleek and bare, and runs quickly.

Is there anything like that for Axim/PPC? I tried a few freewares, and the one from the Dell CD but it was too busy, too many options, etc...looking for something a little smoother.

Also, is there a utility that will take regular images (1mp, 2mp +) from the desktop and optomize them for the PPC? Right now I am using a custom batch process in Photoshop...I would rather drag and drop. I made a custom theme using the MS Powertoy and it took some of the same pictures and put them into the theme, but they looked much better then my 'optimized' versions...and the .tsk file (think that is the extension of the theme) is barely bigger then the images I batched on Photoshop...

Sorry for the long-winded (first) post...

Thanks

If you are running WinXP you can right click a picture and choose to re-size the image. They even have a specific image size for pocketpc. It took my full size pics (sorry can't remember original size) and made them about 40 - 60k, and they look great on my Axim.

Yes, PDAMill's is sometimes referred to as "Peter's Viewer".

thanks for the responses

The XP image manipulation should work...I forgot to look there. Thanks.

I will check out the other image viewer. Looks interesting. I haven't done much 'coding' but I wonder if I could make something as well. Just have to find the time and determination :)

Keep suggesting if you know of any other utilities...thanks

ps...found the PNester/ROM combo....that is pretty cool. I actually remembered all the sounds from Contra...'aahh...haven't heard that in a while'. Very nostalgic and cool...

Where I are seeing that option? I have XP Pro...which may have fewer imaging options possibly?

Its got a send to option - on right click, but its moving the whole file in its orginal format.

The image resizer is actually part of the powertoys collection found here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp

and yes, it is great!
I'll resize a whole folder of pics, and then move them over in their own folder to to Axim,
and use the included resco pic viewer to view.

a great combo.

the image reszizer is also great to prep pictures for email.

my camera takes pics in the 350-400K range,
and in half a sec I then have a 40K pic perfect for Mom's slow modem!

good luck

I also HIGHLY reccomend the HTML slideshow wizard instead of the CD Slideshow generator.

creates web paged based slide shows that are perfect to then burn to CD and share, or put on a website.
(haven't tried sending one to the Axim yet, hmmmmmmm)
