Which apps to install to BIT or SD/CF?

Which apps would be approriate to install on the built-in-storage and which to SD/CF? TIA.

I was thinking about installing Magic Bar, TCPMP, BatMemTime 4.1 & Adobe Reader

:)

As a general rule, I usually install Today Plug Ins to BIS and everything else to my SD card. I am not familiar with Magic Bar, but I TCPMP and Adobe on my SD card and they work great. I never had much luck with BatMemTime - kept locking up my Axim, so I removed it and use Batti, which I have installed in BIS. Hope this helps.

Today programs, and utilities that you don't want to do without in BIS. Remember that the x51 series has more BIS to play with. Also check programs for compatibility with wm5. I'm not familiar with magic bar either, but if it is magic button, I recommend that it be installed on the device.

Under Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (WM2K3.2) the Built In Storage (BIS) is wasted space unless it is explicitly used.

I install everything to BIS.

More on my webpage if you are interested.

Then you do not have BIS. WM5 has "Device", which is Main Memory.

I would install TCPMP to device. You may wish to store music or movies on a second SD card.

On a WM5 device I would install everything to main memory as it is, for all practical purposes, equivalent to BIS.

and I might add, that there is no way, AFIK, to allocate any of that memory to other purposes. (maybe ram drive??)

Neatness, is my reason for choosing alternate locations.

And consistency. All of my icons for PocketInformant and iLauncher are on my SD card only, for example.
