Handy Menu 3.6 and my X51v

Every time I need to soft reset my device, I get a message saying that the file 'Handy Menu' cannot be opened because it is either not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components is missing. Handy Menu appears in my Programs folder. If I tap on it, it runs fine.

I've also seen the icon disappear from the screen. Once I start Handy Menu from the Programs folder, the icon does appear on the Today screen. It'll be there for a little while and then it disappears (Handy Switcher also seems to have the disappearing icon problem).

Has anyone else run into this?

Hello Cheryl,

Do you have HandyMenu installed on an external card?
What ROM version do you have on your x51v?

That actually explains the problem.
Your CF card is slower than your device during boot time. So, the device would boot faster and asks for the HandyMenu on the card which is not ready yet.

You need to install HandyMenu in the device's built-in memory.
