Sprite or SK Tools Backup?

Sprite Backup 5.1 or SK Tools Backup. Which backup program do you prefer? Have you had any problems with either program?

I have both. Although each has more sophisticated features, all I need is a full system backup. I have used the iPaq version of Sprite for several years with good success. I recently purchased 5.1. I haven't needed to restore using it yet. On the other hand, I have recently used SK Tools for successful restore.

Not even considering SPB Backup? That's quite a good program too.

Thanks for the comments. However, I'm interested in others' experiences with these two programs. At this point, I'm not interested in buying another backup program.

We have a family of 4 Axims: Axim x5 & 3 Axim x50v; have been using Sprite Backup for 5 years. Love the ease of this app; at this time, wouldn't use anything else. Never failed in backups or restoring.

I agree about the ease of use of Sprite. Backup is a breeze. The SK Tools backup interface is a bit clunky. It is slower to backup. I haven't needed to use the additional backup features of SK. But, I keep wondering if I'm missing something. Do others use the additional backup features of SK. If so, can you explain the advantages of these features?

Sprite has never failed! Prefer Sprite over other backup programs I've tried.
And, I have used quite a few! :approve:

Well, I did a little more reading about the two backup programs. I think I have a better grasp of the differences. I think I will use the Sprite backup as my main backup program. However, I will also sequentially run a SK backup. Other than space and some additional time, I figure it doesn't hurt to have some duplication. Thanks for everyones comments.

I use SK Tools. It does every thing I want but it is not sufficient by it self. I use it in conjunction with SKSchema and Mighty Sync. If I did not have these other programs I think I would use Sprite. The three programs combined make a very flexable system. I can make it do just about any thing I want it to do. The interface is a very minimalist at best. You have to do some study to figure out how to make it do what you want it to do. I am not against spending money to get a reliable program. On the other hand, SK has never failed me and it is a bargain. I am a heavy user. I back up every day and I have staggered back ups stored both on the PDA and on the PC. I have had to do full restores several times because I often max out what the PDA is supposed to be capable of doing and I have a nasty habit of hacking the registry for fun. No, problems. Everything comes back. So, Sprite is great. I have no need for it. I stick with SK because it does it all for me.
