I am looking for a utility that allows me to encrypt/decrypt and wipe files to at least DOD standard for my Axim 51V. It needs to work on both my PDA and under windows, as I swap files all the time using my SD card.

Currently, I use a great little utility called Blowfish CS. :approve: Wish they had a PDA version.

Any idea if such a program even exists?

I use the freeware Tombo 2.0 (blowfish) which works fine on my Ax and PC - it even encrypts the filenames if desired.

If I said I was a secret agent then you would know I must not be one unless I said I was a secret agent in order to throw you off the scent by making you think I wasn't really a secret agent by telling you I was one. On the other hand, if I said I wasn't a secret agent then you would would know I was a secret agent because by defination a secret agent is one who keeps secrets unless of course I wasn't a a secret agent in which case I would be telling the truth but you would never know it.

Now, does anyone know if there is one software package that does it all?

Unfortunately I cannot find anything that does both encryption and wipe. I have found a couple programs that will do the encryption on the Axim and your PC. They are :

• Utimaco PDA Encryption (and the desktop version, a seperate software)

• PocketLock - although look here to see if this will be a problem

As far as Shredding, you could look at Airscanner Mobile Encrypter.

I think you're going to have to give up on just 1 software package. You might contact these different companies and see if they'll develop a file shredder in an upcoming version of their software. That might be your ONLY way of getting a all-in-one software package.
