As the thread title implies,

Can one copy a URL or the like in Windows XP and paste that string of text into SOTI Pocket Controller? I've been trying but thought that there may be a trick to it or something...

The Pocket Controler help file says:

The Edit menu contains the following selections:

Automatically Synchronize Clipboards - When this menu item is checked Pocket Controller automatically copies any text placed in the desktop/notebook computer clipboard to the mobile device clipboard, and copies any text in the mobile device clipboard to the desktop/notebook computer clipboard.

So maybe the Automatic Synchronize af Clipboards is the trick. I don't have my PDA at hand right now, so I can't verify the functionality.
