Worried Not signed with a trusted certificate

Can you help.

If I try to access application which I have loaded recently it give me the following message "The file 'xxxxxx' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstaill or restore the file." :rolling:

If I reinstall the file: sometimes it works a couple of times and then goes back to the same error message; the rest of the time it goes straight to the same error message.

Some thoughts:

- The apps are installed to an 1GB SD which is just over 80% full. Is being on an SD card relevant - but it had worked before and existing apps on the SD still work? Is having less than 20% spare space relevant - surely 200MB is ample?
- At one time, every time I accessed a new app, a red menu popped up saying that the certficate was not trusted and asked to me confirm if I wanted to run the app. Any thoughts of why I can no longer see this displayed? I don't remember turning it off and wouldn't know how to. I suppose it might have been something in Tweaks2K2 (which I used for a trial period) but if it was then I don't remember

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks

No suggestions :-(. I can't believe that I am the only person who has ever had this problem.

I haven't had the problem on my PDA. But, have on my regular PC on a program loaded on a Thumb drive. Long story short, the operating system is looking for the certificate in the PDA's main memory. And, when you load to someplace else the OS can't find it. So, you get an error. I'm not sure how to resolve it on a PDA. My IT guy made a change in the registry. I'd suggest going to the Microsoft WEB site for windows mobile and see if they have an answer.

Some success. I had a look at the website and the details on the website got me thinking. I remember having installed some Microsoft .Net software (can't remember why, maybe just because I could ) which seemed to have some link to certificate stuff. I uninstalled it and once I had reinstalled SKTools it worked! I will try it with the other apps.

Fingers crossed. I was just contemplating a hard reset.:rolling:

D*mn, it is working for some apps but not all of them. Some which started working have now gone back to not working again. I might be heading towards a hard reset.

This error seems to be provoked by memory leaks in applications, or bad use of platform invoke. A soft reset should get all your programs working back again.
