Hi to every one...I guess you could call me a new developer, but I guess I'm more of a web designer. I'm Nigel and here is my first release for pocket pc:

PDA Home Page is a website I created for pocket pc's and palm PDA's in which over 99% of the websites are PDA friendly. This is the first website of it's kind. I kno that it is often hard to surf the net on e.g. a smartfone or pocket IE but with this website you get a directory of over 200 pocket pc dedicated sites from simple entertainment or email to troubleshooting the pocket pc.

This is a none profit venture. I built it purely to save the web surfing experince on mobile devices. below are some screen shots:



Above shows the Front Page of the website. It is simple but yet asthetically pleasing. As shown above the categories which are not PDA friendly are marked with a star* but the PDA friendly categories are unmarked thence you can see the amount of content that you can browse without the hussle of "desktop type" sites.



Above is an example of the news page...all the above websites are PDA friendly.



Above is an example of the BBC news website in PDA friendly mode!!

As seen above, I have created a very PDA friendly home page for your device. no adverts or anything of that sort.

huge selection of PDA friendly websites

very very fast loading speeds.....takes just about 2 seconds to load...due to the less graphic intensive user interface

PDA Home Page is still in the Beta stage therefore please send in any comments that you feel will help me develop a better updated site. If I have missed out your favourite site.....email me or post in the forum. Please also post in the forum whether you feel that you will use the site or maybe not use the site so that I can know whether to pursue the ideas further.

Here is the link to the site. Save it as your homepage on your PDA so that you don't have to type it in all the time!! (site only viewable in PDA...if you use your desktop it will be distorted)

Looks great but try to sign on with Axim and it says page can't be found.Works ok on Desktop

mmh....very interesting.....I'm actually using an Axim x51v. which axim do u have and what browser....I'm using pocket internet explorer

I'm using X30 with PIE.Anyone else having problems?My other sites come up ok.

Works with my X51V. Fast page loads and looks beautiful. Thanks for this. I understand that this is in the beta phase and it's only going to get better. Please provide some canadian content since there are also a lot of members who are from Canada. (eg. Lottery link for Ontario, Ca doesn't work;)) Nevertheless, superb job.

I use a html page saved and synched from my pc as my home page, so I really do not see the value in this.

Works with the Ipaq4150 too. The X50V is at the office, can't test it right now but I'm sure it'll work.

Works fine on my x51v(VGA wm5), ipaq4150 (QVGA WM2003) and hw6515 (240x240, WM2003 SE).
Great job, I've added it to my favorites.

thank you for all your comments. In the last hour I have updated the website. when you visit next time you will see a sub-category form MSN Home and Yahoo Home. These are both completely PDA friendly thence you can do anything from read news, check mail to checking the latest cinema listings...all on a pda friendly interface.

To Eric: thanks for the comment. I will add links to mpg and wmv video sites and online radio streaming in a few hours times so please check back in a few days time.
