Thank you , I checked that and all good to go with the " proxy server box unchecked " but I do have a update----took my router down to radio shack---guy is pretty tech saavy down there and he reformatted my router and made sure it was working correctly and he was able to log on to the net with it , but I could not, so then I tried to log onto his wifi network and still same problem--btw I am using Odyssey Client wich I really enjoy, but back to the point, dont think there is a router ,internet, firewall issue here, it seems to be PIE on my Axim

So any other suggestions? --- should I just bag the PIE and download another browser? ---- Would love to try opera, but cant get the download page to open while using Internet Explorer--think Microsoft is being a buggar and making it difficult to access a different internet browser :rolling:

If you have an option like "Edit Proxy Servers" go there and UN-check "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" - Obviously make sure that the box "This network connects to the internet is checked"!
Things to make sure as well as some of the other ideas here:
make sure you can ping something on your network - pref another pc (from command prompt type ipconfig to find out what it's ip address is)
If you can't ping successfully then there is a network issue not (just) a prob with IE.
On axim settings > Dell WLan utility > tools > enter ip address of target pc > start
