Exclamation Any good HTTP server for Axim?

Hello, in my never ending quest to make my x51v as useful as a full blown laptop i have begun to search for an http file server. I tried the port of apache already however that is terribly buggy and i feel accomplished if i even get it to start.

So my question is, are there any good http file servers? I already have an FTP but i need HTTP.

Thanks for your help,

Ilya

Picowebserver is for free, though I think an exploit has made it less attractive.
Did you follow these instructions to install apache?
What didn't work for you?

yes i followed the instructions and everything, i am also quite knowledgeable of the inner workings of apache. however apache simply wouldnt start the window would open for half a second and instantly crash. im wondering if there is any way to make a better port of apache.

The apache port works very well for me(x51v).
I even managed to get cgi scripts working.

I am very late to know about this but it seems to be a very interesting thing to try out. Is there any hardware requirement for the smooth operation of the web server?

If you followed the instructions you can find an error log inside the "logs" folder.
My guess is that you missed something in httpd.conf or edited httpd.conf in a faulty text editor (try notepad++ on a windows machine).
I recently did a hard reset and followed the instructions to the letter (x51v A12), and it worked flawlessly.
