HTML email?

How can I use my email while traveling? I would like to be able to send/receive when I do not know the ISP info that I am using to connect.

Example, renting a condo on vacation. I can use the router on site but cannot send email because I don't know the correct outgoing mail settings. I can receive fine, but cannot send.

My x51v cannot connect to my ISP's (cableone.net) email directly on their site even if I use a registry editor to make my Axim appear to be IE 6. I just get an incomplete screen after I enter my user name and password.

I would find this myself but don't know what key words to search for.

Thanks for any help.

for pop3 and imap, you need to send via a provider that offers "authenticated" smtp. i don't know whether cableone does. both fastmail.fm and tuffmail.com do. else go with a web mail service.

gcorth makes a good point.

Do you access your email at home through Outlook?
If so, it should be quite easy to set up email on your Ax.

You can find you incoming and outgoing servers in the account settings of outlook.
Usually (not always) you can tic the box "My outgoing server requires authentication" and fill in the log in box. Then your email should send from whatever ISP you are using.
You can set this up on a laptop or an Ax.
It doesn't work for all accounts but it might work for yours.
Also you should be able to contact your email provider and ask them for the setup info.
