SKTools Scheduled backup won't start
I just recently developed this problem. Scheduled backups won't start until I press the power button to "wake up" the Axim. The backup process then starts right away. It had been working on its own until recently. I had cleaned out some stuff in Registry pertaining to TextMaker, but no other changes I can think of. The sktools.exe notification item is in the queue, the settings are just fine, etc.
I was considering a hard reset to clean out everything, but realized that restoring from backup could just re-create the issue.
Any thoughts, please?

SKTools Scheduled backup won't start
That is interesting, I have exactly the same problem with Spb Backup on an X51v.

Well, misery does love company, but does anyone have any ideas? We'd all love to hear them.

Maybe it can help:
try install our SKScheMa and run once, not do any with it, only install and run once. Power off device. Make softreset.
Try your scheduled backup...

Thanks. I just downloaded, opened, and exited. I'll see if this fixes it for tonight's scheduled backup. Hopefully, I'll know before the 14 day trial runs out.
EDIT: Well, no luck. The backup started as soon as I woke up the Axim from standby this AM.

UPDATE:
Well, for some reason, it did the scheduled backup last night. Since my last post, I downloaded the newer version of SKTools, but that did not fix it right away. It failed a couple of times before working OK last night. Maybe I unknowingly hit upon the correct combo of soft resets, etc.??
Oh, well . . .

Check your notification queue. May need to clean up.
Not sure, you have a global wakeup/alarm problem or not.
Did you test other software with scheduler functions without any problems ?

A bit offtopic, but I assume you had to disable your password to let SK Tools run scheduled backup.
Or, were you able to get an alternate security setup ?
While the password screen may not be much, it can deter a thief into hard-resetting the device vs. trying to break in on your sensitive data.
I would love to use SK Tools for backup but hate the idea of having to disable password.

UPDATE:
It failed again last night. So, it worked, but just once. I'm not sure how many items in the notification queue are too many. Maybe these pix will help??

If you set the scheduling for SKTools backup, SKTools generate a entry in the Notification Queue.
When this entry exist and your device wake not up to start backup, then I think your device has a wakeup problem.
To find the reason I suggest following:
1.) After HR to install SKTools only to test the scheduler again.
2.) Try to install a alarm bugfix tool to test again.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is getting annoying, especially since it worked just fine until a few weeks ago. Any suggestions for an alarm bugfix tool?

UPDATE: Well, SKTools scheduled backup may be working now, at least it has for one night "in a row". I had been running it from a CF card (Transcend 120X 4 GB), but I wanted to switch it (and other programs) to my SanDisk 2GB SD instead, reserving the bigger CF card for tunes and TCPMP. After the switch, it worked (once so far). I'm thinking that access times were maybe just a little too long for SKTools on the CF, and it's happier with the SD card instead. Make sense?

UPDATE: Well, still no joy in Mudville. Now, it won't even do a "right now" update. It soft resets only, then nothing else. I downloaded yet a newer version of SKTools (3.1.4.1), still with no result. I do believe there may be a more general wake-up problem, but I'm not sure how to determine that.
