Wanted: Word application which can deal with large files

One problem I had with my Axim 3i was opening large Word documents. As soon as I tried to open anything approaching 1MB, I had major problems. The unit would sit there waiting, waiting, waiting, and onboard memory would slowly sink to nothing, and I would have to soft reset.

On purchasing my 51v, I thought I would never have this problem again. With over 25MB of RAM free, and a much faster processor, I looked forward to using large files. Unfortunately I still experienced the same problem. Trying to open a 1MB Word document results in available RAM gradually dropping to zero, while the time keeps spinning. A soft reset becomes necessary again.

Ok, I thought, maybe this is just a problem with Pocket Word. It's not the best piece of software, after all. So I tried Textmaker, which is far more sophisticated, and has almost complete support for the Windows version of Word. Alas no, the same problem occurs.

Why is it that I cannot open a 1MB Word document with my Axim? Is this a problem with the hardware or the software?
