AT LAST: excellent WM backup tool Sprite Backup received a 10-day trial version!

Sprite Backup, which is definitely the most powerful (albeit also the most expensive) backup tool for Windows Mobile (please see the Windows Mobile Backup Bible for more information on how it compares to the alternatives), has always suffered from the lack of a downloadable, testable trial version.

I've, along with a lot of other Windows Mobile users, have been continuously complaining about this. Fortunately, the folks behind Sprite Backup have listened to our complaints and have, finally, released a trial of their excellent backup tool.

Head over to this page and download it if you haven't already purchased it and need something to back up your mobile device with - it's certainly worth at least a quick test ride!

That really is great news, and long overdue. Thanks for the heads-up Menneisyys, and for your efforts in chasing Sprite on this subject!

seems like a waste it should be at least a 5 use thing rather than a 10 day trial because honestly who is gonna have a need to restore from a backup a few times within 10 days? the default backup utility suits me fine and has never failed me,so they should make it a 60 day trial or 5 use trial, that sounds more feasible than 10 days, cmon now

You could easily make an argument that the 'average' user might only ever find himself in a 'need to restore' position 5 times in 5 years. I think it's a little more fair to the software publisher to say that within your 10 days, you make it your business to test and trial what you need to in order to weigh up the product ....

I'd rather not waste a HR on a trial product,I haven't had to HR a single time since I got my x51v back in july with the exception of installing A12.
