alternate calender

Help...
Have been using the built in calender to schedule appointments on my x51v, it has been causing me major messups.
i.e. changes in appts. sometime erase others, or automatically update past schedules (in a way that i have no true record what has been done i n the past). Today for some reason it deleted an existing appointment causing an unintentional double booking etc etc
I am direly looking for an alternate program which is syncable to maintain my appointemnts and schedule.
Thanks

I use Pocket Informant as do a lot of people here and love it compared to Pocket Outlook. It syncs with Outlook and adds lots of functionality by having calendar, notes, tasks and contacts all in the same place. It also uses the same DB so if you want to switch back all your info has been updated/kept current on the built in app. They have a trial so there's nothing to lose.

I also have Pocket informant - I have been using it for years. It works great.

You may also want to check out agenda fusion - they have a loyal following.

Also check out Pocket breeze. This is a today plugging that enhances Pocket informant or agenda fusion.

this is a great combination.

All of these software examples have trial versions so you can try them without issue. If you don't like them, or they don't help, you can uninstall them cleanly.

Good luck!

All of the above mentioned applications are nice and good but none would solve your problems. They both use same database as Pocket Outlook, and your issues are definitely sync related. Are you trying to sync to 2 computers ? This is usually when things happen the way you describe them.

I only sync with one computer.
It could be that in the sync process a change was made on the axim and then reversed in the sync process? I dont need my desktop to be in sync with my axim, only as a backup if my axim should fail. Activesync allows very little control and overseeing, so i dont know if its the culprit.
the other problem i mentioned was that outlook changes retroactively
appointments marked as occuring repeatedly.
I appreciate the suggestions, after the embarrassment of having two clients show up at the same time today i felt like tossing my axim altogether...

Well, I still feel your issues are sync related.

If you don't need Outlook on the desktop, you're lucky, just buy a backup software that automatically backs up your data. I recommend Sprite Backup since it allows you to back up to desktop and to a storage card.

Stay away from Ulti-Planner by Birdsoft. It has some great ideas however it is an application in development and is not updated very often. It is said "you get what you pay for" and that is true of Ulti-Planner. Many things do not work and it is extremely slow if you have a calendar with any type of history. I wanted to like this software, but for now it has too many deficiencies to be of any use.

Spb diary or Pocket Informat get my vote. Functional and easy to use.
