SPB Full Screen Keyboard...

anyone use this program? I downloaded the trial version and so far I can only get the landscape mode (I'mhoping that changes when I purchase it), but it is pretty cool. I have trouble when writing emails using the standard soft keyboard and the stylus. This is amazing that you can type with your thumbs and I did a test and I did not mis-spell any words with this keyboard. I will probably buy this nifty app, but wanted some opinions. Many thanks

I think it only works in landscape mode-I have it (full version) and have never used it in any other way. Hope that helps!

I use two programs all the time - full screen keyboard and tengo.

I am 99% sure that spb full screen keyboard only works in landscape mode. Personally, it would be a pain if it worked any other way.

As for tengo, it is a lot easier and faster then a standard keyboard. It is easy to learn how to use, if you follow their instructions. It only took me a couple of minutes.

I do a fair amount of typing on my PDA - assignments for my online college courses. Even though I have a laptop, the x50v is much more portable:approve:

There are two modes: Standard (the landscape mode) and Standard Portrait (90 degree from the landscape mode).

The standard portrait is pain in the butt to use because all the buttons are shrunk do the with width of the screen.

I use mostly with Standard (aka landscape mode).

I also tried tango, but I did not like it ( I did go through the tutorial).

There are few reason why I use the FulScreenlKeyBoard over the Tango.
1..I'm too dumb to use Tango... I've seen the speed people can type with Tango, but I just can't do it. My brain is stuck with the normal US keyboard format.

2..I use the screen key board mostly with computer notes with lots of special characters and numbers, so Tango don't work with that.

Thank you for the replies. I have been fooling with the full screen keyboard and I tell you, it is not easy for me to reach all the keys. Are you supposed to just use your thumbs? In landscape mode the keys right in the middle are hard for either thumb to reach. Perhaps a man would find it easier, that is why I wondered if it came in portrait mode. I thought on the SPB website, it said that this program comes with landscape, portrait and square orientations. Geez, I do like it a lot, but I'm worried about those middle keys. It seems if I hold the screen parallel to me instead of leaning it back a bit, it is a bit easier to type with it. I even used it with my stylus once.

Tengo is the US Standard keyboard. You don't change the way you type. The only thing is they grouped the letters together and added a dictionary. You still tap once for every letter cept you just tap in the letter's group, and it'll automatically figure out what word your spelling.

It basically gives you 6 tapping area's compared to 24 on a standard keyboard.
