Is there an app. that will automatically rotate screen upon program startup?
I have two apps. that I use in Landscape mode, three in Portrait, and the others are a toss-up. Was wondering if there was a program that rotated screen according to what program you're using? That would be a great convenience to me!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance:)
How? I see that it can open several applications for each hardware button, but I don't see where it has an option to assign Portrait or Landscape for each individual app....
Someone else told me that, but it looks as if you have to know what the specific .exe file is in Windows that causes it to rotate, then you can assign it to a program when it starts up.
But I don't know what the .exe is -- and it isn't rotate.exe -- I already searched for that.
Anyone can tell me where to find the .exe file for screen rotation so I can assign it in SkScheMa?
I don't know about the .exe. But just checking that you know you can set a button to rotate. Don't yell at me if you already know this.
WHAT!! (j/k:))
Yeah, I know that...but I use Vito ButtonMapper and all my buttons are taken up with various stylus tap emulations that make navigating through explorer and frequently used apps WITHOUT touching the screen a breeze. So if I could just have the screen rotate via launching of specific app., then that would be a dream.
I hate touching the screen. I'm one of those people:hide:

Am I just not seeing it?
At the setup screen where you can add applications to a particular button, there is a selection "Orientation:" just above the OK and Cancel button. You can select landscape, portrait, upside down, etc. You can set different orientation for every apps.

Okay, I get it now. It's a pretty cool app, but not what I need. To use Mortbuttons I would need to start Textmaker each and every time with a menu assigned to a hardware button, but all my hardware buttons are in use via Vito Buttonmapper for stylus tap emulations.
What I want is to be able to start an app like Textmaker in any way possible, either through the start menu or File Explorer or by clicking on a Textmaker doc file, and have it automatically change to Landscape mode.
From what I read it seems shSchema is the only app that can supposedly do this, but it looks like you need to know the actual command or .exe for rotate (and it ain't rotate.exe cause I tried that like a dozen times...)

Any other ideas?
Try mortscript. Write a custom script to first rotate the screen than launch the apps you need. And rotate back after quitting the apps, where necessary.
Edit: BTW, You can use mortbuttons without actually mapping it to hard keys. You will find the relevant icons at Start Menu -> Programs -> Mortbuttons (e.g. mortbuttons1, mortbuttons2, etc) and you can make shortcuts or whatever you like.
Do you know how? Like which command or .exe is 'rotate'?
What you want to do is Open the Program you want to run. I will describe for textmaker since you mention that specifically. It is most easy if you only have that process running so close all others. Then hit soft key tools\watch\ then hit soft key New. Highlight the "Window Title" line and then go to the top and hit the ... button. Select "Window Class". Another window will pop up. Now select the option that says tmpMdiFrame. Next highlight "To exicute if the Window is Open" then go to the top and hit the ... button. From the menu select "device" and then scan down to the option that says "Rotate Screen".
Now hit tools\settings and scrole down and scan down to the option that says "Watch Mode", highlight that and make sure the drop down menu up top is set to on.
That is the basic and simple method. I hope that helps.

I'm not that knowledgeable and have no idea how to write a custom script...can you tell me how to do this?

I don't see any option for rotating screen (see attached screenshot). What version of skschema are you using? I'm using version 1.0.147.
