Quick Cleaner

I'm using MM on a Cingular 8125/Wizard. After I scan and clean IE cache, IE cookies, and IE history I always end up with 16.1kb remaining in each area. Is this a standard default value or should I be able to clean down to 0kb? Its not really a problem, just a question.

Next, anytime Duplicate Notifications is checked in the Quick Clean que, the program shuts down when "scan" is selected. Any ideas on this one?

Which version of MemMaid are you currently running?

If it is not 1.73, please upgrade to the latest version.

Actually I just upgraded this morning to 1.73. I'm very happy with the program, and as always these quirks may be my doing and not the program. I'm just wading through slowly 'till I get it perfect!

I am not sure why this happens only know about a work around. Would the special verision of memmaid work for me as well. I am running on a dell axim x51v

I too have found that if I delete my duplicate notifications first, then proceed with a cleaning, everything works just fine. The special update I installed is transparent to me so I couldn't say if it is doing something different or not.
I still get the 16.1kb of file space left in IE Cache Files, IE Cookies and IE History after cleaning but I think this is just a Microsoft anomally. I never use IE so I don't know where these files are coming from, no big deal for me.
Dinarsoft has been VERY responsive to all my questions and I can only wish that every business worked so well!

Did you try to use the notifications tab to remove the duplicates and then see if the cleaner works?

The 16.1KB left in the PIE folders are the index.dat files, MemMaid did not remove them because they were locked by an OS system process.

Thank you thezoltar for your comment.

yes if I use the notifications tab to first clean them out then the quick cleaner works. also if I use the advanced cleaner and uncheck notifications it will clean fine.

Thank you for the information.
Do you know roughly, how many notifications do you have? (including non-duplicates)

I am having a similar issue, I seem to have "stuck notifications" so I loaded MemMaid 1.73 to try to remove them, however anytime I scan with Duplicate Notifications checked, it crashes the application. Any assistance would be appreciated.

On the Memory Maid Quick Cleaner main screen tap the second icon from the left bottom. This puts you on the Notification Que page. Select the Find Duplicates tab. A window will pop up telling you how many duplicates have been found. Close this window and tap Delete. You can now go to the main Quick Cleaner screen and run Scan or Clean.
The duplicate notifications seem to come from repeated syncing events with one or more computers. Every sync must provide the notifications as new events even though they already exist. I sync often with two computers and usually get at least two duplicate notifications. After I erase the duplicates I can clean with ease. If I don't sync for a few days the issue never seems to arise.
