As a note....This method that Andrea (and my modified version) use is an XML/XSL script that simply opens up in Pocket IE and queries the XML file that is exported from DVD Profiler 2.0. Because of slow load times in Pocket IE, mixed with the very large XML file (if you have many DVDs anyhow).....it is almost too slow for practical use in my opinion.
My XML file is about 1.2 MB and contains info for 110 DVDs.
Here are the load times on my Axim X5 Advanced 400MHz, PXA250 B2 CPU, PPC2002:
Note: All tests were done with CPU set at "Normal" (400MHz).
Main DVD List loading: 1 minute 40 seconds
Individual DVD info loading: 1 minute 35 seconds
This might be okay just to load up a title list if you are in a store and want to make sure you don't already own a title.....but if you want to look up DVD info for many titles, it would take a really long time.
I have begun playing around with the development of a standalone PPC application to read an exported DVD Profiler file. This is just a spare-time project for me, so I cannot guarantee that it will ever even be finished.....it's mainly just something to keep me occupied when I'm bored. If I ever release it (way down the road), then I'll be sure to let you guys know.
