Can Pocket Informant Choose Which Icons to Show?

With my Palm, I was able to assign a baseball icon to all of my beloved Red Sox games, in the daily view. I left them as 'unfiled' and was able to place holidays etc under the personal catagory and business meetings under the business catagory. This way, in the monthly view, I can set it to see the personal and business, but not clutter up the small space with a baseball each day.
I have not been able to figure out how to do this, using Pocket Informant 2007. Is it possible?
Thanks

Yes. You can assign icons to categories and also to individual items.

To assign icons to categories, go into Categories and Auto-Filtering, select the category, tap on the picture with the plus sign, assign an icon. If you do not like those icons, or have others you want to use, tap on the folder there and browse to their location.

To assign an icon to an individual item, tap and hold on it, select Tools, then Assign Icon and assign an icon. If you do not like those icons, or have others you want to use, tap on the folder there and browse to their location.

Windows Mobile does not have the 16 category limitation that the Palm OS has; you can have as many categories as you wish. With that in mind, you may want to create a category for these games so you can easily filter on them.

I don't think it works with the Red Sox though. Maybe if you were an Angel's fan...

If it works with the Cubs, it should work with any team. ;)

Thanks for sharing your favorite teams!

I understand JohnDoe's answer, but it really didn't address my issue.
I want to show an icon with a calender appointment on the daily view. But, on the month view, I do not wish to see that icon on a daily basis.
How can I see icons in one view but not in the other view?
With Palm and Agendus, you had the option to show icons categorized as business, but, if you should desire, not to see icons in personal or unfiled. Does Pocket Informant 2007 give me that option?

I am not aware of any facility to have icons show or not show selectively based upon the category and view. Have you also asked this on the WebIS forums? It is, of course, possible to show all icons on one view and not on another view, just not based on category, at least not of which I am aware.

Myself, I do not display icons on the Month View, nor Tasks for that matter; however, I do use the mini-text option to display the text of the appointments on the MV and it is actually quite readable on a VGA PDA.
