Hi Folks,
Was just wondering what success you've had in viewing and or editing microsoft Word Documents On your Axim. I have 07 Word, I've seen a couple additional word processor programs listed by Gigi, Just was wondering what success you folks were having.
Currently when trying to view an exported file from my laptop to my Axim, it shows up in the file explorer but I get the "need to open an Application first" bubble. So I am stymied! I also use Isolo for a document reader in another application but cannot for some reason get it to view 'word documents":rolling:
Perhaps there is a proper path to take for this to be accomplished, if there is could anyone please detail that for me Maybe I'm missing a previous thread for viewing processed documents, if so please direct, it may help a few of us out here. Maybe in the end I'm just trying to save a few Bucks! on another program so I can get that GPS!
Well, the version of word that comes with ppcs is very basic, improved in wm5, but still basic.
If you want software as advanced as a pc version of word, then there is textmaker. This program is very easy to use, especially if you have used ms word before. Only prob, it is expensive. But you wanted the best... and this BY FAR IS!

Thanks Spunker88, that's the one I saw with Gigi's thread, but is there a reason why the Word Document is totally unviewable even with the given processors loaded in the Axim----x51v?
That's what I was hoping for, but the only application that my axim is processing and opening with regard to word processing is Word mobile and Notes and one note mobile. When I send a .docx to the axim I get the "run application first, then open this file from with the application, Bubble, I always used to like bubbles.....

I think expensive is an understatement. $ 50 for a document viewer/editor is absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah I know... I think they charge for upgrades too but atleast they're major enough to do it.
Too bad nothing competes.. Still its awesome I bought both Planmaker and Texmaker in one package, I wish they'd make a powerpoint too, hell it'd complete the package...
Hi Box,
I was away for a couple hours, With regard to sending my document, I'm routing it by the Send to feature which recognizes my axim thru active sync. I suppose this is where the problem is?
Try
Connect active sync.
Open windows explorer, find the doc you want, copy it.
Navigate to the folder you want to put it in (mobile device/etc) in windows explorer, paste the file.
It should open a box saying converting or something to that effect and then it should be on your ax.
Try opening and see what happens.
