I am very new in the use of PDA's and more new on the use of GPS.
This week I received my Dell Axim X51v PDA with the "Dell GPS Navigation System" software.

The PDA itself works very well,...Wi-Fi, bluetooth works perfect!

The problem starts when I install the Navigation Software on the PDA through bluetooth.
It installs itself correctly on the PDA, but
hardly one minute after it is loaded,...the GPS software crashes and shuts down. The Windows reports says that the .exe crashed and I can send a report to MS.
I had it installed on an SD Memory Card of 1 GB,...so I assume this is plenty enough.

I do not understand why the software keeps crashing,...if I use the pencil to scroll over a map it crashes after hardly 5 seconds,.... and I sometimes am unable to restart the software.

The OS the PDA uses is Windows Mobile 5, and the GPS software is "A01UK". The date mentioned on the CD's from "Dell GPS Navigation System Europe Map Data" mentions the date "April 2006".

I know there where some problems with the A00 on the "new" Mobile 5 OS, but I do not think this is the same problem I have.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I have contacted my computerdealer and he is looking for a solution too!

Try installing the program to the device memory and then load the maps to the sd or cf card.

I did that,...but if I move the pencil over the map to "explore" the area the application crashes.
I do not have my GPS receiver yet,...cause it wasn't present in the box,...

I find this very strange that it simply crashes. Sometimes if I click on the button to "zoom in",...it might crash,....

After a crash I am sometimes not able to load the program anymore,..it shuts down after the startup,...
