Today there was a release of the new PocketBreeze version 5.2.01.

"This version follows the latest new version release of PocketBreeze 5.2 that was released about two weeks ago. The new version includes a list of some great and important improvements, fixes and also a few new features. Since this is the first new version following version 5.2 release the main focus was on performance improvements and fixes, but we also finished implementing a few new features which several users have been waiting for since the new version 5.2 release

PocketBreeze 5.2.01 Highlights

1. Speed improvements - One of the main important improvements you will find with this new version is speed improvement. This new version includes a much better implementation for some of our core engine-level code sections of PocketBreeze which should get things working MUCH faster with this new version. Users with larger PIM databases on their device will notice this speed improvement better and the larger your DBs are the larger the improvement will be. Users with relatively small databases won't notice much difference since the previous version should load really fast for them anyway

Among the speed improvements we also fixed a specific loading issue that we had with the previous version related to the Contact loading. This issue effected only users with really large Contacts database, around 2,500 contacts or higher, which resulted in a really slow loading that might even appear as a freeze of the device for several minutes in some rare cases :/ With this new version this issue is all gone now and the loading should be really fast even for users with large contacts database. This will of course still be a bit slow if you have a REALLY large database with 25,000 contacts, but even in such case the information should still load within several seconds I would say
2. Custom alphabets - With this new version we've implemented the new ability to add new custom alphabets to the Contacts tab search panel options. This will allow users that have contacts from different alphabets, apart from the four default alphabets that are included with PocketBreeze by default (Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Hebrew), to add their own new alphabet really easily by creating one description text file and placing it within the PocketBreeze folder.

*If you create a new custom alphabet for your personal use it will be really great if you can post it as a reply to this support post and upload it with your reply so other users will also be able to use this alphabet file in case it is also helpful for them WPFsmileyGen6.png This can definitely be a great way to create a small download-section for additional custom alphabets for other users this way
3. Lots of additional changes - As always, there are lots of other changes that are included with this new version but I won't get to more details on each change included with this new version. I've included here below the development log for this new version for users that wish to find more information about each of the changes that were implemented with this new version code"

Looks like they discovered a bug and quickly released 5.2.02 to fix it. Same day service, can't beat that! :approve:

Many thanks Susan for the post about the new PocketBreeze update! :)

Indeed we've discovered a small bug with the first build (5.2.01)after we received input from our users on the forums, so we released a new hot-fix for it a few hours after version 5.2.01 was uploaded, this is why the version number is now 5.2.02 :)

We are now working on a new update that we hope to complete towards the new upcoming week in the next few days. This will include a special specific feature that we've been working on for a while now and I hope all of our users will enjoy this new upcoming feature :cheers:
