So is Pocket Quicken worth it?
For what it is worth, I have Quicken 2007 HnB and it syncs fine with SPB Finance. YMMV, of course.

Sorry if this question is quite out of the topic. Currently, I have the latest version as well and once in a while I have some data loss. Which location do you set the data file (.fdat) : RAM or storage card? Thanks.

Can either Pocket Quicken or SPB Finance be installed to the storage card? Can data be stored on the storage card?

Thanks,

Geoff

SPB Finance can be installed and run from the storage card. I live by it, so have it on my Axim.

You can choose the datafile location in options.

You can also set the autobackup file location.

Honesly there is ABSOLUTLY no substitute for trying out the programs extensivly. I use SPB finance and like it allot, though I could suggest several fixes and missing options to the developers. Just use one for the entire trial, and note what you like and hate, and then do the same for the other. It all depends on how you use it. Thats why I use Resco Explorer rather than Total Commander. I like the functions. SPB Finance excells with thier today plugin, chart and diagram views, and the thumb expense imput panel.

I upgraded to Vista, and needed to upgrade to quicken 2007. I sync with both all the time. Sometimes via the USB cable, sometimes bluetooth. And this beats all, I couldn't get the bluetooth to work with XP more than maybe 20% of the time. It was a real pain, but with Vista and the new WMC6 it works all the time. :approve:

I was using CashOrganizer and it was my favorite until it suddenly started having syncronization issues. Nothing I did helped, I turned off the fire wall, deleted AS and reinstalled, reset the device wipped out registry entries and still no go. CashOrganizer never emailed me back regarding the issue. I hated PocketQuicken 2.0 because it took forever to syncronize. After this problem with CashOrganizer I tried PocketQuicken 2.5. It does not look as nice as CashOrganizer but I am sold on it. It will send up reminders about upcomming bills. It will also let you enter invoices which CashOrganizer will not (small business people will care about this). The syncronization process is still not as I would like it but it is just as fast as CashOrganizer now. Also PocketQuicken added report and budget features with 2.5 that are near what CashOrganizer was offering. It is more money but I think it is the best out and worth the price.
