Well, it's a LIMITED public beta - which means that, if you're not one of the lucky ones... no go. It's not like Microsoft's the only company that's done limited betas, prior to releasing a program...
Exactly.
So, people, please stop asking me for the CAB file. I will *not* support piracy.
So, no one experiences that strange "favorites" scrolling behavior?
I have over 50 favorites in my root folder. In the new Opera, when scrolling down the list of my favorites, the keyboard SIP has to be re-drawn for each favorite in the list. This makes drilling down towards the bottom of the list so annoyingly slow.
The reason why the keyboard has to be re-drawn for each favorite is becuase the URL address for each favorite is refreshed in the field at the top along with a flasing cursor, ready for input. This is just crazy!
ok, i'm using the tengo free keypad and it's the bomb.
Now opera is my most favorite program, and tengo free is a worthy download I my longer have to have it sitting just waiting to be used, now that it works, I will be writing more
So gf a reply to my earlier post, it was stated that this will be a free upgrade, now I son't see an option to register it, it simply states that this version is beta and will expire on june,
So what can I make is this, I know its now registered because it doesn't state it.
But I most well you, this is the opera I was waiting for, everything so far is perfect. I have not played with it too much but what I see I like,
Although i'm noticing that it takes time for it to load up, has anyone else expierence this?
but I just love it so far, excellent, its worth the 30 bucks... No joke, them I first purchased it, I said to myself, what a waste money, now its worth every penny

The reason there's no option to register the beta is because it's a time-limited BETA; it's not the 'real' program. On Monday, they're supposed to release 8.65 final, which will have the option for the registration if it needs it. The main thing for me is that, if it supports Tengo and Calligrapher.. well, it'll have just about everything I want. The inclusion of Flash and Flash Lite support is icing on the cake.
And damn, it works WELL - it loads up for me almost instantly, but being able to use Tengo alone's a MAJOR improvement with this, and worth the download.
I realize, this may have been addressed before, but given the substantial improvements to OpMob, lately... here's my question:
I've always installed most of my software, including browsers on my 4GB SD card - Is it worth it to install Opera on my axim x51v (A12) directly? Would I see any real gains. i.e., speedier???

cheers
I don't think so - the cache (the stuff most prone to speed degradation) is always in the main storage and it doesn't make write operations anywhere else. It's only at initial loading that it might be a bit faster, but not after that.

Thks Menneisyys. So, the latest OpMob version still doesn't allow you to place the cache anywhere else other than main storage?
Youtube or any flash vids wasn't happening with 8.65, unless you know something we don't...
All you get is animation.
Ilya is right!!! can't believe it! I watched the Polar bear (in German) and the otter video holding hands w/ full video and sound in my x51v.....very impressive!!!!
I can't get a my screenshot util to work, or I would show ya'll what my problem with Opera 8.65 is.
I have been an opera fan since i first used it.
I am getting "WINDINGS font" rather than text in my search bar and textboxes! What is up with that. I soft reset and uninstalled and reinstalled, but it still does this. It won't stop me from using opera, but I hope they fix it very, very soon.
Where do I report bugs?
