Now everybody who has tried to edit word or excel docs on a ppc knows that softmaker's software is 100x better than the pre-shipped microsoft stuff. Their textmaker (word) and planmaker (excel) software are the best out there for ppcs.
But they have been lacking one crucial office app, and that is a presentation maker. I have accutally written to them before about it, and it looks like our wait may be over soon. Dont get your hopes up yet, I only see a windows version beta in the works, but softmaker is bound to release a ppc version eventually.
Now i know there are many powerpoint like programs for pocket pcs, like Pocket Slides and Pocket Slideshow, and dont forget the lousy version that comes with wm5+. But, if you like softmakers software, and how easy it can be to use, then this looks like good news.
Thats not all...
If you thought softmaker needed a Microsoft Access clone, Datamaker 2007 is on the way. This also looks to be windows only, for now. There is also BasicMaker 2007, for working in BASIC.
Read more on these new softwares here.
There are no plans of these for ppcs yet, but they are going to become part of softmaker's office, and softmaker's office runs on more than just windows.
