Question Suggestions?

I have decided it is time to get a backup utility. I have tried Pocket Backup which seems really great, but before I shell out $20 for it, I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations?

Thanks for your input. Yeah, I have tried backing up via Active Sync and it just doesn't work well enough for me. I am not always able to restore my backup if I get one done. I need something reliable :). Glad it works for you :).

I would also recommend Pocket Backup or Pocket Backup Plus (if you want the extras). I like being able to have self extracting files in case I am away from a computer.

I like the idea of the self extracting files, too. Now as far as the "extra" in Pocket Backup Plus, is it worth the extra $10 in your opinion?

I have actually found their battery monitor to be pretty good and the Space Detective is great. You can set it to show hidden files (which you normally can't do) and it also shows how much space they take up (and largest files). It also adds a short cut to the brightness control on the today screen. I actually haven't used battery pack (except for the program bar) since I got this program.

Pocket Back up- self extracting files,

Can you make your back up an exe, save to an SD card for example and launch it in the event your Ax crashes and you have your desktop close by?

Cause if the answer is yes- $20 is a great deal

Yep, I have mine on a CF card. The pocketmon program will even tell you how long it has been since you did your last backup, and I believe you can schedule a backup every so often.
