MemMaid: problem with Notification Queue
Hi!
I need your help regarding MemMaid.
I'm having a problem with the notifications and alarms in my HTC P3300. The reminders or alarms don't appear in the screen, so I'm trying to solve this by using MemMaid (trial version 1.72).
So, when I use the Notification Queue, in the list, most of the notifications are blank, and when I select one of them, the description shows this string:
{9B904401-A867-4042-976B-4063F62B2EE5}
{9B904401-A867-4042-976B-4063F62B2EE5}
Using the Find Duplicates option, it finds 12 duplicates, but once again, the notifications are like I explained above.
What kind of notifications are this? Is it safe to delete them?

Dear Customer,
First of all, you can delete the duplicates without any problems.
Now for the blank ones, according to most of our users, those are corrupted notifications that should be deleted.
It might be a good idea to backup your system before deleting them though (just in case).

I can confirm that these notifications can be safely deleted, but my problem is that after every soft reset they reappear. This causes a problem in the SBSH PhoneWeaver program which depends heavily on the notification database. This also causes a problem with Memmaid "quick clean" which unexpectedly exits as it tries to clean the notification database.
I wonder if in a future release, Memmaid could offer this as one of the cleaning options?
Anyway, for now, anyone that has this problem can check the solution I posted here:

FIRST IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS PROBLEM: Do a full backup with a program like SPB pocket plus or sprite etc, not the bult in dell backup for wm5 BEFORE you use dell notification utility or MEMMAID (I use both). If you accidentally delete system events (even duplicate system events) the only way to get them back (at this point in time) is a hard reset! Don't go from bad to worse.
I deleted the blank ones with numbers like above with no problem. for a while but as of the past week my axim x51v doesn't display notifications for calendar events anymore. They don't even appear in the notification queue.
Try closing Outlook on your pc before syncing and watch out especially for reoccuring events that you snoose for a week. That is what got me this time. As soon as I dismissed such an event and closed outlook & cleaned with memaid I was back in business

I have a different problem with the time shown in MemMaid for PhatNotes alarms. For some reason all of them are 4 hours ahead in MemMaid. An alarm in PhatNotes at 6AM that actually goes off at 6AM shows up in MemMaid notifications as 10AM. To be completely fair, it also shows up in SK Tools at 10AM so I doubt it's related to MemMaid. Has this been seen before?

What's the time zone set in your device?
do you have other alarms or appointments where there is also 4 hours difference? or it is only related to PhatNotes?

The QuickCleaner is fixed and will be updated in the next release.
We will forward your request to our dev team.

Unfortunately the PhatNotes I'm running is a beta so there could be a problem with that but as I said, the odd part is that the reminders pop-up at the correct time even if they show 4 hours late in MemMaid.

Since other reminders are correct, it would be PhatNotes's issue. Most likely, the 4 hours came from the fact that you are using EST (-5) which is currently using the day time saving. This makes it 4 hours difference from the universal time (the notifications time format).
It is a good idea to communicate with PhatNotes's vendor about this issue.

This sounds like a DST issue and or Time zone issue. do you use outlook calendar on the computer? Is your ppc set for the correct time zone, how about your computer? Is your computer date and time correct? Is your activesync software set to update the time on your ppc? Have your run the dst patch on your computer AND for outlook? Maybe phatnotes needs a dst patch or update.
