Exclamation Problem with Opera 8.60

Every time I go to log in to my Gmail account using the soft keyboard (or eve Tengo) on my ax (x51v) I have a major problem.
I select the password space, which automatically brings up the keyboard, but as soon as I start to type in the PW, it immediately starts t surf onwards as though I had hit the enter key (which I hadn't).
Then the keyboard closes!
This makes it impossible to input the PW without error, as you may imagine.

Anyone else had this happen, and if so, what did you do about it?

Also it seems to me that when I am running Opera I cant close the program unless I back all the way to the first page I open. Even Tman doesnt cause it to close.

I really like the way opera displays pages, yet this is starting to annoy me.
Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

I suggest you unintall that vers 8.60 and install the newest Opera 8.65 BETA version. It is free until June 1, but it so much more functional IMO than the previous versions. I have no problems closing Opera, even with several tabs open; nor any problems with inserting passwords with my soft keyboard.

Good luck.

I had this problem on my X30 and it seems to work better if I input the password first then the user name.

Is it just me or does 8.65 seem to lock up after a few minutes???

Are you using the newest 8.65 BETA, the older 8.65 was not quite as good, the BETA resolved a few problems.

Opera 8.60 only recognizes inputs from the Standard Keyboard.

Yes, the latest 8.65 Beta. Lets hope version 9 due out soon will improve things or I will revert back to 8.60U2. At any rate Opera is better than PIE or Netfront.
