This has been discussed in length multiple times in this forum......

Anyway, one of the best ways (there are a couple) is to simply import these to Outlook via the appropriate Import option, and then simply Sync them to your Axim. Outlook can import all sorts of file formats containing Contacts information, so I suggest you give it a try ;)

What software are you using for this information on your PC currently? As long as you set up a way to sync the information (Intellisync?), then look to see if your program can import the data from Excel. In some cases, you may have to convert the spreadsheet to a comma or tab delimited text file, but that's pretty easy as well once you've determined the fields you need and their order.

The bottom line is that the conversion will probably need to be done on the PC.

You're using Netscape for your address book? When you said you weren't using Outlook I assumed you were syncing your data with another program but, as far as I know, there is no way to sync those files with the Axim. You have to convert the Excel sheet into a contact format on the PC that can be synced, so it looks like you are back to needing to use Outlook.
