Car Maintenance App Needed...

I'm looking for a good maintenance log for my pickup truck for the Axim. I have Autowolf car care for my PC, but it just never seems to get updated regular. And since I tend to use my pocket pc almost more than my desktop now, I'm changing it over to the ppc.

I figured people here problably already have some favorites, so I'm asking. Which car maintenace log program is your favorite and why?

I did a search at handango.com under auto maintenance and quite a few hits came up....you could check them out until someone responds. I used one on my Axim a long time ago but I can't remember what it was (?). After doing a hard reset awhile back, it was just one of the things I didn't put back on...didn't seem to use it that often.

You might want to check out Handbase.

http://www.ddhsoftware.com/handbase_...51568.2.89.210

They have tons of free databases and I'm sure one has car maintenance. What would be nice about handbase is you could customize it to your needs.

I would also recommend a search at Handango. I posted a similar list for someone awhile ago, but can't remember now what they were.

I've been using Starcar from thumbsupsoft.com ( http://www.thumbsupsoft.com/maphtm/starcar1.html )

Unfortunalty this developer doesn't seem to be very active in updating thier products.

I found Auto Care, Car Facts Pro, Car Care Pro, and Auto Log.

Thanks for all the postings on where to locate auto logging programs. However, my problem isn't finding the programs, I found plenty. But I was looking for reviews on the auto logging programs that people use. I'm currently looking at Vehicle Manager, and Car Care Pro. One of them didn't offer a trial version, but I don't recall which. I'm leaning towards Car Care Pro mostly because of the price, 9.99 with 20% off at handango.

That looks pretty good, also offers a desktop version that syncs with the ppc. Now that is hard to find in a car log program, all seem to be strickly ppc only. I downloaded the demos for the ppc and desktop and will try it out this week.

So far I didn't much really care for Car Care Pro, is more for expensing mileage I think. And Vehicle Manager seems descent, but doesn't offer a desktop counter part.

Recordian could be the ticket, we'll see. Thanks for the suggestion!

Try this one

Try Personal vehicle manager from Two Peaks. It works on a pocket PC and you can buy a version to work on a pc with the info syncing between them.

Personaly I use this AND autowolf. Autowolf is more complete program but the info gets updated better if available on pocket PCshares

I use Auto Wolf also, does the vehicle manager sync to auto wolf, or import the data. Or are you update all the programs seperately? I looked at Vehicle Manager, and it was one of the best, but I thought it lacked a desktop version. I'll checkout your link, and try out the desktop and ppc versions.
thanks!

Sleep update to your question

I believe Autowolf can import and export - however due to the differences between the programs and the fields - the chance for a successful import between the two would be unlikely. There would be a chance perhaps.
I have been entering the info in each separately.

If you want something free.. just use excel. set up the columns to categories, (date/oilchange/mileage) use sheets to organize more. works great!

Spreadsheets are great on a PC desktop, but almost unusable on a PPC for me. Thanks for the idea though :)
