tdlaunch is a free app that allows you to put shortcuts to apps on your today page. Using it and love it. I hope that's what your requesting.

Another vote for tdLaunch. It will let you put 5 rows of 11 shortcuts on the today screen. It is a today plug-in and has worked flawlessly for me.

In addition to tdlaunch (which is a great little freeware app), do search on this topic here at aximsite. There should be many threads which detail other options.
Everyone has their own needs, so use a freebie, then try others, and see which one serves you best. ;)
I use rhinolaunch, after getting carried away with 5 rows of icons on tdlaunch, and needing to reclaim today screen real estate. Hope you find the perfect one for you!

Well, I took a look at rhinolaunch and found it much simpler to configure. It has exactly the things I've been looking for. I downloaded the trial version and was us and running in 2 minutes. Then came trouble -- I attempted to uninstall tdlaunch and it refuses to go. The is the second time I've had such a stubborn application. The other one, c2i, only left after a hard reset. How can I get rid of such apps that won't uninstall?
Any ideas? Thanks.

did you try a soft reset then uninstall again? make sure its not active on your today screen.
Does anyone know of a menu utility that lets you click a button on the command bar and it pops up? I don't want all of those buttons on my today screen but I want more than the start menu can hold.

Another option is Scott's Launcher. You can find links to it on this site if you search. I used it when I couldn't get tdlaunch to install.

Go to the Windows / Startup menu. If it has an icon there, the PPC is starting the program at every reset, making it impossible to remove. Just delete the icon, and you should be home free. Let us know if this works...

Check tdlaunch's website. They probably have instructions for removing it. Most likely you have to make sure it's unchecked from the Settings, Today, Items (tab) list and also remove it from your startup menu and then do a soft reset before running the uninstall.

Let us know, defii, if that clears it up. I know I've left tdlaunch hanging around, but not "on" just in case...

Well, I tried all the options everyone suggested, except for going to their website. I found a utility called "Remove" at freewareppc.com. I loaded the program's executable file to the ppc and it completely removed tdlaunch. The utility is great for removing broken links etc. Check it out.
Thanks.

remover?
I downloaded this utility and tried to install it, but after unzipping I click on the "remover" icon and get the following error message...
"remover/arm/remover is not a valid win32 application".
any ideas?
thanks.

Where did you try running it (PC or PocketPC)
try running it on the device you didn't use the first time

Another great quick launch utility is Giga Task from ThumbsUp software. This utility will run in the top right corner of the screen and consists of 3 user configureable menus of up to 10 items each plus a true X button which will actually close an app not just put it in the background. Check it out at www.gigatask.com
