Nokia Syncing

I just activiated two Nokia 6590i wireless phones. The main reason for picking this model was the the PC connectivity via an IR port. It is great to manage my phone book, etc. on the phone using my notebook. But I would love to be able to sync with my Axim. I tried beaming one contact at a time from the Axim to the phone. It did not work, but I don't think I had the phone set up to receive what the Axim was beaming correctly (although they definately were talking to each other).

Is there any software around that might allow a better connection between a Pocket PC PDA and a IR enabled Nokia phone?? Would love to be able to keep the phone and my Axim in sync......

hang on now...
I am also an ATT gprs/gsm subscriber.
the software link above is for att's wireless connection manager software.
what that basically does is allow you to connect to the net, with
your phone acting as the modem.

the nokia's can also be synced using fonesync software that can be found around on the net,
and will sync your pc to the phone with a data cable.
What you need to do to beam contacts is make sure the IR recieve has been turned on on the phone.
most times it is not left on to save battery life.
one of the menu choices should be infrared.

as far as syncing contacts, I've had horrible luck.

when I beam over contact that only has company name, the phone doesn't show a name!
and then when I beam a second company contact over, it says I already have a similiar entry.
however, when beaming from a palm...no problem,
so I think it is a PocketPC quirk
