Best Dictionary

Anyone using a dictionary out there? Curious as to what the word on the street is for the best dictionary...:)

I use WordBook from Trancreative. I think there is a 30% discount on Trancreative software here in the member discount section. I love it! Over 150,000 entries, fast, and clean. You can do a 15-day trial on it to see if you like it. As a side note I couldn't help but notice the BYU logo! I am graduating from the Y in CS this August!

Wordmate is the best dictionary for PocketPC I have encountered--and I have tried many. It has probably the most extensive list of entries, offers a kind of proto-thesaurus of similar words with virtually every word inquiry, and can be purchased with a substantial discount for Aximsite members. In the month I have had it, it was stumped on only one word I entered.

There is a free Microsft eBook dictionary, Encarta Pocket Dictionary.

I'm sure it's not as good as the ones previously mentioned, but it does ok for the occasional definition or spelling.

The new Microsoft reader adds a feature that makes their dictionary useable -- a word lookup on the front page. Before they did this, it took forever to look a word up in their dictionary. In their free ebook section, they also have dictionaries for several lanugages. I use the French-English and the English-French (two different books). When reading an ebook, you can switch dictionaries. I would never read a French ebook, but it's nice to know the capability is there.

For dictionaries that aren't free, I still like Lextionary

Anyone seen a rhyming dictionary for PPC? I've been looking, but haven't found on yet.

Thanks,

Can you tell me about the discount for Aximsite members? I didn't see anything about that in the forum for Aximsite discounts.
