Anyone who has tried to use their ppc to read/send email quickly realizes that the builtin mail box stinks! I have not yet had the chance to install @mail, but it is supposed to be awsome. Check it out at: WebIS

I am not affiliated, just a happy user of PI and anything that Alex does has usually been good, so I see no reason why @Mail will be any different :)

This is a great stand-alone email app for Pocket PC, but it's not going to fulfill what a lot of people have been wanting: to be able to view HTML mail that's sync'ed over from Outlook. Check out the @Mail FAQ here. You can download and view HTML mail directly from your mailserver just fine, but anything coming over the Activesync conduit will be text-only.

That's a limitation by Activsync that Alex can't do anything about. He has explained this in his forums before, that there are certain short commings of Activesync that he simply can not change.

Oh, I know, I'm just mentioning it because other folks might not realize it. If I had the capability and need to read my email on my Axim, I'd get @Mail in a second. As it is, I just use the built-in Inbox to queue up quick notes to people that get sent when I sync. Kinda like a time-delayed IM. ;)

Will this let me get my aol email onto my Axim? I want to be able to get my mailbox downloaded onto my Axim so I can read email on the go and then delete it after I have a chance to get through it all. I don't care if it is text only. That would be better actually.
Thanks

I am not sure if it will let you get your AOL stuff. I would guess that if you know or can set up say Outlook or Outlook Express to retrieve your AOL email, then you would be able to setup @Mail to do so. You need to now the Pop Server Name, your login Name and your password. If AOL has a pop server, and I don't know if they do, then you can setup @Mail.

You might want to post this question in the @Mail User to User forum on the PI website. You might get a quicker response from there.
