I just downloaded a listmaker software (freeware) from:

http://www.ipaqsoft.net/php/freeresults.php?type=pim

And it runs fine, but there is no information already in the program (meaning you have to put everything in the first time, and it's very time consuming.) So before I uninstall this in search of a listmaker that has some pre-made templates to start with (but can be tweaked for individual needs) can anybody tell me if this is the norm for list programs? Or is it just because I downloaded a freebie that I have to plug in all the initial information?

Have you tried ListPro from Ilium software? Download the 30 day free trial.

Then go to their free lists area and try out some of the ones other people have created.

The eWallet program is pretty good also.

Wow. I know this thread is old as dirt, but just wanted to say that I did a search on the site for list making software, and this is what was stored away. I wanted to put Xmas lists on there so it would be easy to check off the items I got. Listpro is great. After browsing there site, I found tons of other lists that are very useful.

ListPro is nice, but I'm looking for a cheaper/freeware alternative that works almost as well. $30US is pretty steep for a PPC list application.

Superlist by scareybear.com is the best list software out there - I think it is pretty cheap.

I'm trying out SuperList... I do miss the ability to enter items via my desktop though, a feature in ListPro Pro that is very handy. As I think of things through the day, it's nice to be able to enter them in while at my computer instead of remoting to my PDA, or pulling out the stylus.
