I'm trying to install the trial version of PocketShop 4.5. The desktop portion works great, buy when I try and install the PDA portion I get an "Unsupported Device Type" exception that I've attached. Has anyone come across this? Any thoughts? I'm using XP pro with ActiveSync 3.6. Thanks.

That message it telling you that the PPC version you downloaded is not the correct one for the Axim. The Axim uses the ARM, or StrongARM or XScale version of the software. Try downloading that version specifically.

Just a quick note -- yes, for a short time the XScale processor wasn't properly handled in the *installation* program for PocketShop. (PocketShop always supported XScale but we had a minor bug in the install program that would cause that error message.)

The installation issue that I originally inquired about is mentioned in the thread written by sdmventure. I finally broke off an e-mail to sdmventures for my issues with PocketShop 4.5 and I am very impressed with the response I received. They handled my case quickly and I was able to get the software installed and now I'm in the "trial" process. More to follow.......
