I tried Backup Plus after disappointing experience with active sync Backup (its useless in the best case and dangerous if you don't know that it is useless) but I was not able to make a backup to the PC.
Is it not activated in the trial version?

I have iPAQ backup on my 5550 which is a rebranded pocket backup without the plus and it seems pretty good. Although i never had any probs with the built in axim one or the activesync backup and tended to do 1 of each just to be sure.

Anyone can recommend a good backup program to download?...
Would be nice if free, but even the ones which are not too expensive will do....;)

I don't know of any free programs other than the included program with the Axim. If you do not care about the extras, you could try just Pocket Backup by Spritesoftware. If you check out the software bargains forum, I believe there is a code for 15% off at Handango.
