PDAwin TV Remote Controller 5.5 Released

Well, I just noticed that PDAwin released version 5.5 of their TV Remote Controller software today. I have yet to see anything new, other than WM2003 support and iPaq 221x support. I'll post back if I see any improvements.

Cool, I just received my PDA-ir and it works great. You just have to be patient on getting it. It took about a month to receive it after I placed the order from Electric Dog Ventures. From what I understand, it is sort of a hobbie for the owner and he's a very busy man. The ir extender and PDAwin work well together.

Hi, deftech, do you know of any way to program the up and down arrows in the upper left corner using ProntoEdit4? I've made my own ccf file and have figured out how to do everything but that.
Thanks for any reply.

The up and down arrows are screen arrows. It is to help you navigate through multiple screens for a single device. As far as I know they are not programmable, but are application only.

Deftech,

How about the send on down feature? I know they said they were working on it (or at least I think they did)?

It would be great if the IR would send on button down rather than on button up.

Thanks...

Is the PDA-ir compatible with 2k3?

Yeah, it's still not fixed. They've been saying they would fix it since I first got the program back at version 5.1. I've contacted them yet again, and made references to our site as well as remote central, to show that there are lots of users who are irritated by the IR signal being sent on button release instead of button press. I'll post back when I get a reply.

While the new version 5.5 of PDAwin is compatible with WM2003 (at least that's what it says on their website).....it does not say if the PDA-ir extender is compatible. Since it does not use drivers of any sort, I'm 99.99999% sure that it is compatible. But it would be nice for a WM2003 user to confirm this.

Agreed ;) . Although, I don't know why I'm getting so anxious about it. It'll be 2k4 before we even get our upgrades .
