Pocket informant 4.5 slow problem
I have tried version 4 and 4.5 with the same results it does seem slow on my Dell(300Mhz) running pc 2003. i was just blaming it on the update that a lot of us are waiting for. As for the memory loss I never really noticed it. I have had many lock ups and had to soft reset a lot with PI 4.5

I have posted basically the same thing. I have re-installed it like 5 times both to main memory and to built-in storage with the same result.. SLOW.

encino...are u using 2003 also? I still have 2002 and just upgraded to PI 4.5 yesterday after using 4.0 for several months. I really like it. The new options are great...especially the color schemes and icon usage. The only problem I have had is when I am already in the program and I go to the settings...it momentarily displays the today screen before going to the settings screen, just for a split second. Other than that , it is great.
Have you checked ou their website for answers?

I am using 2003 (ROM VERSION A04). I really like the app but waiting 15+ seconds for the calendar or contacts to open is just unacceptable. I still have it installed cause I like it but need to figure out wtf is wrong. Are you installing to default or are you installing it somewhere else (like CF or SD card)? Which Axim do you have and which ROM version are you running.

I am still using 2002 on an Axim Advance 400 mhz...with the original rom version...saw no reason to change, at least for my needs.

i love it, I'm using 2002 though, but it does take a long time to open up. My solution - just never quit PI. I just leave it running in the background and it only takes a split second to open. I'm using ICbar, so my X button usually closes out programs, I just got in the habit of holding down on the X button, so that it just minimizes PI. seems to work great for me.

It was really slow for me when I had the A04 ROM. Even with PI minimized it was about 15+ seconds to open the calendar. After updating to the A05 ROM it is much faster. If PI isn't open, it takes about 8 seconds.
The only thing is that it seems to crash often when it never did with the A04 ROM.

I found PI really slow before I did the ROM update on my Axim (400 PPC2003).
Since the update I've tried it again and it's much faster, but not as fast as Agenda Fusion IMO, which I'm also trying atm.

You're going to have to sit tight until you get the update. It really did wonders for PI. I think it's your best option at the moment.

FWIW, I am using PI 4.5 on my 400 Mhz Ax with 2002. No noticable slowness.
