Anyone have any recommendation on a good registry editor? I downloaded Klimist registry editor, I think it was the first one I found on the Microsoft PocketPC site.

Tascal RegEdit is a good registry editor. And it's for free. :)

PHM Registry Editor 0.70. Includes a working "Find" function.
Find it here.

Thanks, will give them a try.
I downloaded the PHM Registry Editor .cab file. Where do I copy the file to to make sure that it is installed into ROM? Or is that not the best place for it?

As far as I know, running a .cab file on a PocketPC always causes the product to be installed in Main (i.e. RAM). What I do (and, be warned, this likely disables the ability to uninstall automatically) is go ahead with the default install and then:
- move the program's folder into \SD Card\Program Files
- search and update any links to the .exe
- search the Registry and update any file paths relevant to the moved app.
I don't see any problem moving the app to ROM. I've done that with a few that I consider vital. They work fine from there.

You can also kill a few birds with one stone, you can use Resco File Explorer 2003, you get a much much much better file explorer then teh default one, a built in image viewer, built in zip file handler, and a registry editor:

Just purchased it over the weekend. Loving it.
I second NMkid. It is a must-have tool.
