Outlook Mail Notifier
Is there any addon for Outlook, third party or not, that will work as a notifier for Oulook? A notifier is a program that runs seperately from the mail program in your tray to let you know if you have any new mail. That was one of the pluses about using Incredimail.

Well, I use Outlock, you can find it here.
Place it in your startup folder and it loads Mircosoft Outlook into memory at startup.
It shows a little Tray-Icon where you can access the most important outlook functions. Also checks on new mails, notify on events or task, just like Outlook is open.

if it loads outlook into memory what's the difference from just putting a shortcut to outlook in the startup folder?

That figures, why would Outlook copy something netscape got right years and years ago. Sometimes Microsoft suprprises me. They could have integrated email so much better in Win XP since everyone uses it.

I agree.
I like the functionality Outlook gives me but it's such a resource hog. That's why I was confused by a tool that takes up the same amount or memory but doesn't load the app for use??
A watcher or something would be sweet.

Yes that's right, I would rather like to you use another email client, M2 by Opera for example. But first point it can not sync with my ax, and second, there are no tasks, no calendar, no appointments, and so on.
At my system Outlock uses 1MB Ram and no CPU usage+7MB from Outlook itself, that is not to much for my 1Gig RAM I have to spare, so I can live with that.
