Is there any way to play a quicktime movie on the Axim? Do I have to convert it first?

you will have to convert it to another format... as of yet, no QT player is out for PPC

nah... I have found most of what I wanted in .mpg and just use PocketTV.

I have yet to play with encoding and the like.

Unless you have adobe premiere or something to that extent your options are pretty limited.
