It only works if you have WM2003 installed. I wanted the update because I thought it'd give a boost in 2002 but it can't install, you must have 2003.

Yes, the patch is just to fix the "broken" A04 versions of WM2003. It does not update PPC2002 to WM2003. In order to do this, you must call Dell and order a WM2003 Upgrade CD. The CDs have still not begun to ship yet, but will hopefully ship pretty soon.
