Hi all,
Can someone advice me what is the difference between PocketBreeze and Pocket Informant?
Can I have both on my Axim X51V or I just need 1?
Thanks...

PocketBreeze = Today Plugin that lets you set up today plugins as tabs, which saves you screen real estate. Closest comparison I can think of is SPB PocketPlus.
Pocket Informant = replacement for Pocket Outlook, built-in Notes application, built-in contacts application, with a timeline viewer, and other functions besides. Does NOT let you use today plugins as tabs, and it is NOT a Today plugin. It is a Personal Information Management program, like Agendus by Iambic or AgendaOne..
Try them both, see if you like them.

PI does now have a rudimentary Today plug-in; it's just the list of upcoming appointments and it's no-where near as full featured as PB (could anything be?). Of course, PI could be enhancing this plug-in over the next few builds, who knows.

Hi,
Don't think any more. Just go for it.
PB and PI working together is an awesome combination. You won't regret it for one second.
Slainte.

If you do a lot of planning in your PIM, go for PI.
I was using PI exclusively for years. However with WM5 the startup time with a large database has increased threefold, which drove me to use PB. I now use about 80% PB / 20 % PI.

I use PI for the scheduling of items, managing alarms, contacts, and so forth - PocketBreeze, on the other hand, I use to quickly access the alarms, events, notes and contacts that I set up with PI. :D
PocketBreeze also has that nice feature for showing Contacts in a tab directly, and sorted nicely as well now - replacing the functionality that was in ContactBreeze 1.x. I use PocketInformant for the heavy lifting, but PocketBreeze to access the data I enter in PI.

You can have either one or both, they are independent. However, how you use your PDA may dictate your choice. I use PocketBreeze and PocketInformant both, myself.
PB provides extensive Today Screen capabilities.
PI provides powerful enhancements to the built-in PIMs.
They both have trials, so you can try before you buy.
