excel error

I have been using my excel on axim x51v without any issues until last week.
The only thing that I have done new or differently lately with my axim, is I did a trial download of the pocket informant. However, I didnt think it had anything related to do with it.

I can view my excel pages I have saved.
I can edit them.
When I ask it to save it, it says, error has occurred and closes it back to status as if I never made the editing.

Please advise any suggestions,

Thanks for your help,

matthais

Are these Excel spreadsheets synchronized with your pc? If so, have you checked to make sure that you are converting them properly?

Other than that: soft reset may help.

same spreadsheets i have been using, just daily or weekly update them.
never a problem either on pc or on axim until last week.

Last week, i downloaded some trial software.
However, I feel that should be unrelated.

I can edit and click save as and name a new name starting this week.
Otherwise, I cant get past the error message updating the same file.
This hasnt been a problem from Feb til now.
I just dont understand.

Thanks,

Might be unrelated, but I had the same problem a while ago. Turns out that I had accidentally bumped the write-protect switch on my sD card (where the file was located) into the "protected" position. The error I got in this situation sounds similar to what you're getting, and it wasn't clear from the error's wording what the cause was. Good luck.
