Trying calligrapher, and decided to buy norwegian language pack since there was no trial.

Feel kinda duped, since it only recognizes one letter, Å.

ØÆ doesnt work.

Hell, if that is the case theres no use since A or AA can substitute that.

the pop up keyboard has those letters.

I had similar problems with Å and swedish language pack. l would suggest you customize how Calligrapher recognize your writing of the letters A, E and O. Letter Shape Selector is the utility you should use. For details look in the program's Help file.

i tried the letter shape thing.

The keys are on the bottom left, where you can select them.

Problems is that theres no ÅØÆ to choose from.

ive tried for hours, but cant get it to recognize the ØÆ.

did you get it to recognize the swedish letters? äö

i was writing shit, and the Ø appeared. But i cant remember how i wrote the O


Edit, managed to capture it. Writing a G badly. i unchecked all the writing styles i dont use in letter shape.

Still this is not perfect, and one letter to go, Æ.

I did not have any problems with swedish ä ö. What letter(s) does the program print when you draw the shape of a norwegian Ä? If it prints A and E...uncheck, for those letters, shapes that looks like a norwegian Ä. If that won't help...contact PhatWare support. They could give you info on how the shape of the letters should be drawn.

I just remember an issue that I had once! You should have language pack installed in same memory as Calligrapher itself. If you have pack on storage card it seem the slower speed in reading may cause this kind of problems.

if i only draw a Ø, it becomes 0 (zero). So i checked in the recognition, and there was two Ø as a way of writing 0. I crossed over those options.

but no luck. Ø still reads as zero.

example word LØPE (run) i write LØ that becomes L0.

Edit, i captured a small video of it, easier to understand. At the end of it the also appears. But its so random when the letters work its frustrating.




ive turned of the what i thought was making the calligrapher finishing the word, but it still does.

ok i installed calligrapher on the device memory, same as the language pack.

Saw your video. Looks like it sometimes recognize right letter, but the word comes out incorrect...are you sure that you have configuration so that it points to the norwegian Dictionary?

did get responce from phatware. Very short, ad words to dictionary.

A little hard when the words cant be written correctly, or is there some other way to ad words.

Seems to be a little better when installing calligrapher\language pack in main memory.

but still, its impossible to write Ø Æ as a single letter. As the video shows, you have to write them in a word and it changes to that.

Think its the closest ill come.

i also have a tablet pc, somewhere in the office. The ms software didnt have norwegian recognition either.
