I am running WeatherPanel 2.5.1, which I paid for 6 months ago, and it is still updating my local weather.
Am i missing something in so far as what everyone is concerned about, is it just moon phases or the entire weather report that is not updating. Quite frankly, I don't see moon phases on my program, let alone a place to put two sets of icons. I can't even find the CAB file everyone is downloading. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
See Storyr's link here. There is a cab file that addresses both the authorization and moonphase. I also sent a paypal donation to Storyr since he's done a bangup job keeping that app running in the absence of its original coder.

Since this is a today plugin when you install WP to a card it also installs the basic program in main memory. Look for something like
Program Files/Marsware/WeatherPanel
in your main memory and replace the dll there and everything should work fine.
Thanks again Ken! I finally got it now. These files aren't viewable in my PPC's file explorer, so I finally got it moved through my computer and now I'm set. Just did an update and it worked!:approve:

You have to enroll on that forum to see downloads.
It is the entire forecast. The moon phase issue is actually related to the dll of the program since it doesn't download this info, it just takes it from a file. This file expired a few months ago so moon phases were no longer displaying correctly. If you are just using a standard layout you might not have realized that WP is not updating since it downloads a ten day forecast each time it updates. If you show a five day forecast on your screen it will take 5 days until days in your forecast start disappearing from your screen.
If you are just using one of the default layouts you may want to take a look at some of the custom layouts available since the reason so many love WP is because it is so customizable.

Wow am I glad I checked back on this thread, I didn't know that Storyr made yet another WP-Auth file. I just installed the .dll for this and soft-reset and wow did my WP update quickly. Faster than ever. This is fantastic, heroic work Storyr . Thank you so much.

I am afraid not, I do better with the writing of the wpl files than I do with the graphics. The backgrounds I made for Vista were about my limits.

It appears that the website that supplied the default radar views changed their addresses.
People, if you are having any problems with WP or have questions I would suggest you go to WeatherPanel :: Index as you have the best chance of finding the answers to your questions there.

Me too, since I applied the second .dll fix, my radar images don't update. In fact, I have to click on Update (no radar) to get my WP to update. But at least I get the weather updated and for this I am very grateful. :)

If you look at the response to my question, there is a link. What it all boils down to is that the radar images changed their location. Look in your weatherpanel folder for "radars.txt" Change "static" to "images" in all lines. Radar images will work again!

thank you, what I did is download Storyr's new radar.txt file and delete my old one in WP and put his new one in my WP folder. Soft reset (just for good luck) and then I had to re-choose my radar image area in WP Settings; but all is working fine now and actually WP updates faster than ever.

Apparently, there is an app out there called WP-Pilot created by "storyr", that allows you to control WeatherPanel one-handed, however so far I have been unsuccessful in getting ahold of it. All the websites I have visited so far have proven to be either dead ends, or require you to register in order to download the app. My question is this: Does anyone have the latest release of this program? and if so, can they post a download link in this forum?
